Welcome to the Iqwat Account Deletion page. At Iqwat, we respect your privacy and give you the ability to request deletion of your account and the personal data associated with it at any time.
How to request account deletion
To request deletion of your Iqwat account, follow these steps inside the Iqwat app:
- Open the Iqwat application and log in to your account.
- Navigate to the Profile section.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Account.
- A confirmation popup will appear asking whether you would like to delete your account or keep it.
- Select Delete Account to proceed with the deletion request.
- Follow any additional on-screen instructions to complete the process.
Once your request is submitted, the account deletion will be processed in accordance with our App Privacy Policy and data retention rules.
Don't have access to the app? You can also email contactus@iqwat.com from your registered email address with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within the same timeframe.
What data will be deleted
Upon successful processing of your account deletion request, the following information may be permanently removed from our systems:
- Profile information
- Contact details
- Account preferences and settings
- User-generated content associated with your account
- Activity history stored within the platform
- Other personal information linked to your account
Data that may be retained
Certain information may be retained where required for:
- Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Fraud prevention and security purposes
- Legal obligations and dispute resolution
- Audit and record-keeping requirements
Any retained information will only be stored for the period required by applicable laws or legitimate business purposes. See Section 9 of the App Privacy Policy for the specific retention periods (for example, KYC documents are retained under the Prevention of Money-Laundering Act and applicable banking-KYC rules — typically 8 years).
Processing time
Account deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days from the date of submission and verification. You will receive a confirmation email at your registered email address once the deletion is complete.
