When it was built

Shrine complex developed over centuries; the hilltop fort around it was raised by Atta Mohammed Khan (late 18th century) and extended by the Afghan and Sikh governors.

Where it stands today

Shrine actively maintained; the surrounding fort is an ASI-protected monument with ongoing conservation.
